Welcome to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport Noise Exposure Map (NEM) Update Study

The City of Charlotte, which owns and operates the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), is working with Landrum & Brown to update the NEMs for CLT. NEMs are maps that show aircraft noise levels surrounding an airport. They are prepared in accordance with 14 CFR PART 150 and reviewed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Once accepted by the FAA, the updated NEMs will become the official noise exposure maps for CLT.
