What will change on the current flight paths in the future?

As KCI develops in the future, there are several changes that may occur.  First, as more and more operations occur, a greater demand will be placed on the use of the east parallel runway, resulting in a shift from the west parallel runway.  That may result in one runway being used primarily for arrivals and the other for departures, or mixed operations may be used on both runways.  Second, the future location of the terminal complex may affect the selection of runway, dependent upon the distance from it to the parallel runways.  The Master Plan and Part 150 Study have both considered the effects of these changes in the preparation of future plans for the airport.
