Lambert Studies Workshop One

Alternatives Analysis Process

How alternatives to meet future requirements will be developed

The Master Plan team will identify and evaluate alternatives for meeting future needs. The process will involve a number of factors, including:

  • Airfield issues: not expected to be significant consideration
  • Terminal alternatives focus on:
    • Extent of existing terminal required to meet facility requirements
    • Impact of sensitivity scenarios on terminal demand and use
    • Maximize cost-effective use of existing facilities
    • Define if/when current terminal facilities reach their useful life
    • Identify and preserve a long-term terminal option
  • Cost management and revenue enhancement a key Master Plan focus
  • Opening of Runway 11-29 supports the need to reevaluate the locations of some airport facilities
