The Dayton International Airport Master Plan started in May 1998. Since that time, the following key data has been presented to the FAA for review and approval:

The FAA is currently conducting an airspace review of the January 19, 2005 Future Airport Layout Plan drawing. They are also providing comments on the Runway Length Analysis, and Runway 18-36 and 6R-24L Feasibility Studies. The FAA has indicated that the approved February 20, 2004 Aviation Forecasts will be used for the remaining Master Plan and EIS planning efforts.

Ricondo and Associates is continuing with the Environmental Impact Study (EIS) and is currently working with the FAA to develop a Purpose and Need for the proposed airport development projects. The EIS is being prepared in conformance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and FAA and FHWA regulations.
